MEPPI’s Electrical Distribution Division (EDD) is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Assembly Tech I to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will perform key mechanical assembly and basic electrical connection tasks to help deliver high-quality power equipment to customers across the country. What You’ll Do:

• Assemble frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers and other power equipment based on work orders, blueprints, and company specifications.
• Perform basic electrical connections per company procedures and technical diagrams.
• Apply RTV sealant, perform paint touch-ups, and wrap components for shipping.
• Package completed products for shipment according to company standards.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly to perform assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
• Inspect work using test equipment and visual checks to ensure product quality.
• Identify and correct any material or process discrepancies.
• Complete daily production paperwork and process checklists in compliance with procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding and adherence to MEPPI’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies.

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED plus two years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.
• Safety-conscious attitude and willingness to complete operational training (e.g., forklift, crane certification).
