MEPPI’s Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician I to provide maintenance and service support for our single- and three-phase Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and peripherals. In this role, you’ll perform installations, testing, troubleshooting, and on-site service to ensure our customers experience safe, reliable, and high-quality support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver On-Site Support: Perform preventative and remedial maintenance, field modifications, and testing of power quality products at customer locations.

  • Keep Customers Connected: Serve as the main contact for scheduling routine service and preventative maintenance work.

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and repair routine issues with UPS systems and related products to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Power Up Systems: Perform battery installations and routine testing to ensure reliable performance.

  • Stay Organized: Maintain accurate service records and detailed documentation of all work performed.

  • Inspect & Test: Evaluate returned products, components, and systems to determine defects and operational status.

  • Work Across Teams: Collaborate with Engineering and other MEPPI departments to identify solutions that improve product performance and protection.

  • Support the Mission: Represent the Division with professionalism in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Stay Professional: Submit accurate expense reports promptly in compliance with company policies.

What You Bring:

  • Education & Experience: Associate’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field, plus 0–1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic products—or equivalent education and experience.

  • Technical Knowledge: Developed proficiency with mechanical and electronic test equipment.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and partners.

  • Tech-Savvy: Developed computer skills, especially with MS Office and MRP/ERP systems.

  • License Ready: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to rent vehicles as needed.
