Position Summary

Perform routine manual and clerical duties in inventory areas. Assure that each kit is correctly completed and delivered to production on schedule. Identify missing parts and coordinate solutions between Purchasing, Production, and Material Handling personnel.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure VRMA’s and MRR’s are processed in a timely manner.
  • Create Missing Parts Lists and follow up with buyers.
  • Review Pick Lists for errors and make corrections.
  • Follow through to locate missing parts to ensure flow of Production.
  • Cycle count all location if an on hand discrepancy arises.
  • Handle material requests from the bays with a sense of urgency and assure proper documentation is completed.
  • Assure that ECN (Engineering Change Notices) are processed.
  • Audit kits to ensure completeness.
  • Audit kits to ensure material is properly organized, protected, and tagged.
  • Audit bins and pallets for cleanliness.
  • Assure the material handlers know and follow schedule priorities.
  • Assure material is available to be transported to Keystone Drive in accordance with the schedule.
  • Assure all in-process jobs are backfilled as material becomes available.
  • Maintain the integrity of Keystone Drive WIP.
  • Review pick lists for critical parts shortages (porcelains, frames, mechanisms, interrupters, motors, coils, panels, tanks, etc.) and expedite missing material.
  • Reinforce on the job training for kitters as needed.
  • Support and assist the Material Center Supervisor as needed.
  • Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Manufacturing Department.
  • Know MEPPI’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED, plus two years of work experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Applicable safety/operations training required to operate certain machinery and equipment (e.g. fork truck, crane).
  • General computer skills with emphasis on MS office and ERP/MRP.
