MEPPI’s Service Center Division is seeking a driven Sales Engineer II to identify, develop, and close service opportunities with both existing and new customers. In this role, you’ll be the trusted partner bridging customer needs with MEPPI’s expertise in Substation and Switchgear service solutions. From proposal to order close, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding our service offerings.

What You’ll Do

  • Grow Customer Relationships: Build and strengthen partnerships with new and existing customers by working closely with regional sales managers, manufacturer’s representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote Service Capabilities: Present MEPPI’s full range of service offerings and work with customers to identify new business opportunities and expanded solutions.
  • Prepare Winning Proposals: Develop and submit technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs. Consult with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to clarify content and secure approvals per MEPPI’s Limits of Authority policy.
  • Craft Clear & Compelling Materials: Create proposal packages with detailed technical and commercial content. Develop review sheets and coordinate approvals from internal stakeholders.
  • Price with Precision: Calculate costs for products, parts, and services, and recommend pricing that aligns with margin goals and market dynamics.
  • Expand Service Offerings: Identify and champion new service solutions to bring to market. Lead bid reviews and coordinate proposal meetings.
  • Close the Deal: Confirm customer orders align with MEPPI’s proposals, process orders, and manage turnover to the Service Group while documenting contract requirements and risk items.
  • Deliver Presentations: Conduct impactful technical presentations to customers on MEPPI’s services and solutions.
  • Support Leadership: Assist the Service Center Division Manager and Product Line Managers as needed, contributing to division-wide success.
  • Represent MEPPI: Uphold and enhance the professional image of the Service Center Division through collaboration with other divisions, suppliers, and partners.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in technical product/service sales or hands-on service of electrical/electronic/mechanical systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills:
    • Intermediate knowledge of negotiation techniques to support customer agreements.
    • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Intermediate computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office and business systems.
