MEPPI’s Substation Service Division is searching for a talented Drafter to develop and modify drawings using advanced CAD software. If you have a passion for detail and design, and thrive in a collaborative engineering environment, this is the opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Create detailed physical, schematic, and wiring diagrams from sketches, vendor data, and templates.
• Develop precise CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies, including bills of material and construction notes.
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to design and detail critical components and systems.
• Follow industry standards and internal procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Assist in design problem-solving and maintain design project schedules to meet deadlines.
• Identify and select components for assembly drawings from our MRP system and vendor catalogs.

What You Bring:

• Education & Experience: High school diploma and certified drafting training with 3 years of industrial drafting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of 3D drawing systems and industry standards for technical drawings. Strong ability to read and create technical schematics, blueprints, and materials.
• Software Savvy: Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work with engineers and internal teams.
• Organization: Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and track progress.
