Position Summary

MEPPI's Transportation Systems Division (TSD) is looking for a Field Service Site Technician to troubleshoot and repair Mitsubishi Electric transit equipment on rail cars at customer locations.

Essential Functions

Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems on equipment using schematic and mechanical drawings. Perform simple repairs or replacements of equipment, if necessary.
Prepare car reports and other paperwork as necessary (e.g., equipment installation results, test results, any customer requirements, etc.).
Maintain modification tracking documentation, monitor available car lists for equipment to be modified.
Receive and ship parts and/or materials as needed.
Control the spare parts inventory.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or related technical field, plus a minimum of two years� prior electrical repair/troubleshooting experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Broad knowledge of AC, DC, Analog and Digital signals and their measurements.
General computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products to prepare reports and analysis.
