MEPPI’s Critical Power Service Division (CPSD) is seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Applications Engineer II to join our team! In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge power solutions, acting as the crucial link between our customers and the CPSD. From managing complex proposals to overseeing the delivery of high-quality equipment, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of power quality and distribution solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Way: Take charge of the entire project lifecycle, from reviewing RFQs to preparing detailed quotations, including compliance specs, pricing, BOMs, and more.
  • Project Mastermind: Develop and monitor project plans, ensuring that all goals are met, deadlines are adhered to, and costs are kept within budget.
  • Technical Guru: Offer top-notch technical support to internal teams and customers, and even represent MEPPI independently at technical meetings, site walkthroughs, and industry seminars.
  • Customer Focused: Be the primary point of contact for customers, keeping them informed and satisfied from proposal to delivery.
  • Innovator: Identify and recommend the best applications for CPSD products, participate in factory witness tests, and constantly seek opportunities for cost improvements and new product development.
  • Creative Communicator: Create and present electrical, schematic, system, and mechanical drawings, and develop compelling written and verbal communications to promote CPSD products.
  • Risk Manager: Collaborate with internal departments to identify and minimize risks on customer and vendor orders, ensuring all documentation is compliant with MEPPI's quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, coupled with 3-5 years of experience in applications engineering or technical sales in power quality/distribution. Equivalent education and experience are also welcome!
  • Technical Know-How: Solid knowledge of UPS systems, power quality equipment, batteries, and distribution switchgear.
  • Design Skills: Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings and materials.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving Pro: Advanced analytical skills to tackle complex challenges head-on.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and ERP systems.
