MEPPI's High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) is seeking an innovative Quality Assurance Supplier Engineer who is ready to drive supplier quality to the next level. In this high-impact role, you will lead initiatives to identify root causes, implement game-changing corrective actions, and continuously improve supplier quality. You’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and advancing our ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program while collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent quality issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead with Impact: Spearhead root cause investigations using cutting-edge techniques like Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, 5-WHYs, and FMEA, ensuring supplier issues are resolved swiftly and effectively.
• Innovate Solutions: Develop and implement corrective actions that not only resolve current supplier quality issues but prevent them from happening again. Verify effectiveness and drive continuous quality performance improvements.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, production, and inspection teams, bridging the gap between suppliers and in-house processes to resolve assembly issues and drive seamless operations.
• Audit for Excellence: Lead internal and supplier audits, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Use insights to drive strategic changes that elevate our quality systems.
• Optimize Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve HVSD procedures and documentation to eliminate redundancies, ensure accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Drive Preventive Action: Analyze Field Incident Reports to identify trends, proactively implementing preventive measures that safeguard product quality before issues arise.
• Be the Supplier Champion: Work directly with suppliers to enhance their processes through 5-WHY analysis, FMEA, and robust corrective actions. Foster collaborative relationships that drive mutual success.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Remain at the forefront of industrial Quality Assurance best practices, including ISO 9000 standards, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma principles, and apply these to propel HVSD's quality initiatives forward.
• Travel to Innovate: Travel to supplier locations to audit, troubleshoot, and provide expert guidance to ensure that our partners are aligned with our high-quality standards.

What You Bring:

• Proven Track Record: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, coupled with 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control. You’re well-versed in quality tools like SPC, 5-WHYs, Deming Methods, and more.
• Quality Innovator: Strong knowledge of ISO-9001 standards, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
• Problem-Solving Guru: You have a knack for turning data into insights and insights into action. Your ability to lead root cause analyses and implement innovative corrective actions sets you apart.
• Excellent Communicator: You can translate complex quality concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and MRP/ERP systems is a must. You can dive into data and leverage technology to improve quality processes.
• Flexible & Driven: You’re able to travel as needed to supplier locations and are motivated by challenges and opportunities to innovate.
