MEPPI’s High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) is seeking a motivated Application Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting customer-specific orders, engineering activities, and product configuration for our high-voltage gas circuit breakers. This entry-level engineering position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to make a strong impact in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:

Engineer Customer Solutions:
Review customer order documentation and specifications to ensure all technical requirements are met. Communicate exceptions, clarifications, and confirmations effectively.

Build from the Ground Up:
Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and clearly communicate product configurations to Production and Manufacturing teams.

Customize with Precision:
Design electrical circuits tailored to each customer order and guide the development of customer-specific drawings.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Work with internal departments such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve issues and drive product excellence.

Support the Full Lifecycle:
From assisting in production troubleshooting to responding to customer technical questions, you’ll be a go-to resource throughout the order lifecycle.

Ensure Quality and Compliance:
Identify any non-standard customer testing requirements and relay them to the Quality department for proper planning and execution.

Partner with Vendors:
Collaborate with external suppliers to resolve configuration concerns and ensure smooth material flow.

Be the Technical Bridge:
Support Sales Contracts Clerks with technical matters, enhancing our responsiveness to customer needs.

What You Bring:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical (EE/EET) or Mechanical Engineering (ME/MET) or equivalent education and experience.

Experience:
0–2 years of experience in an engineering environment through internships, co-op programs, or relevant academic projects.

Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, CAD software, and ERP/MRP systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to clearly present ideas to internal teams and customers.

  • Solid problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to interpret and generate technical drawings.

  • Team-player mindset with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
