Position Summary
Perform data entry, clerical, and other purchasing activities associated with the production of gas circuit breakers.
Essential Functions
- Perform general clerical functions including filing and faxing.
- Communicate with suppliers to coordinate the expediting of orders and track late deliveries.
- Review requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and conformance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Operate computer to maintain documentation, verify accuracy of data, investigate causes for discrepancies or inaccuracies, and make corrections.
- Maintain business system files.
- Maintain vendor information files and documentation in a timely manner.
- Pursue acknowledgements of all purchase orders issued.
- Run reports.
- Enter or update purchase orders into the business system when needed.
- Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
- Support and assist the Purchasing Manager as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of one year of administrative or clerical positions, or equivalent education and experience.
- Developed computer skills, emphasizing MS Office products and MRP/ERP systems.
