Lead and Grow MEPPI’s Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Business
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Deputy General Manager to serve as staff support to the General Manager with profit and loss (P&L) ownership for the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) business. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across select departments and plays a critical role in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term business growth within the Division.
What You'll do:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the UPS Marketing, Inside Sales, Engineering, and Operations departments, with direct management responsibility for Department Managers.
- Own P&L responsibility for the UPS business, driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and effective cost control.
- Support annual business planning and long-term strategic planning efforts, ensuring successful execution of initiatives across assigned departments.
- Partner closely with the General Manager to define business objectives, develop organizational policies, and establish plans, procedures, and responsibilities to achieve Division goals.
- Review and analyze operational metrics, activity reports, and financial statements to assess progress toward profitability and growth objectives.
- Lead operational planning, process improvement initiatives, and the integration of business systems into daily operations.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the UPS product line, including customer relationships, marketing investments, sales channels, and contractual obligations.
- Lead internal projects, capital investments, and facility improvements that directly support the UPS business.
- Lead, coach, and develop staff in accordance with Company policies, including performance management, compensation recommendations, training, and professional development.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and represent the Division professionally with other MEPPI teams, visitors, suppliers, and vendors.
What You'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Accounting required; MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, including at least 5 years in a mid-level management role.
- Strong background in sales, operations, and manufacturing of assembled products; experience with electrical products preferred.
- Proven ability to manage P&L responsibilities and drive financial and operational performance.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise business systems.
