MEPPI’s Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Support Section Manager to lead technical support operations for assigned products. In this critical leadership role, you will manage a team of technical support professionals, provide engineering guidance, oversee strategic initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Lead Technical Support Operations: Oversee and direct engineering support activities for assigned products within SCD, providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead planning and execution of assigned projects and initiatives to enhance service capabilities.
Manage Incident Escalation: Monitor field incidents, set priorities, and manage issue escalation within SCD and product divisions as needed.
Support New Product Launches: Oversee the review of technical support documentation for new product introductions.
Coordinate Technical Solutions: Collaborate with equipment division Engineering and QA teams to resolve technical issues and manage open items to completion.
Analyze Trends & Improve Processes: Review incident history to identify systemic issues and work with internal teams to implement improvements.
Ensure Change Management: Review and disseminate engineering change notices (ECNs) to technical support staff as required.
Develop Processes & Procedures: Assist in creating and refining processes related to product support activities.
Lead & Develop Your Team: Manage staff performance, provide coaching and training, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth in alignment with company policies.
Promote Professionalism: Represent SCD positively through effective communication and collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
