Our Service Center Division team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Project Manager I to support the successful execution of customer projects from quotation through completion. In this role, you’ll plan, organize, and manage proposals, documentation, customer orders, and communications while serving as a key liaison between MEPPI Divisions, customers, vendors, and contractors. Your work will help ensure critical infrastructure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Manage Projects End-to-End:
Oversee assigned sales and service projects from quotation through execution, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget requirements are met.
Coordinate Field Activities:
Direct and supervise on-site construction activities, subcontractors, and service teams during installation and service efforts.
Be the Communication Hub:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, contractors, and internal MEPPI teams, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure Scope and Contract Compliance:
Verify that all aspects of project scope—including subcontractor work—conform to contractual requirements and technical specifications.
Handle Documentation with Precision:
Coordinate customer documentation submittals, including as-built drawings, testing results, operation manuals, and other required deliverables.
Support Quoting and Procurement:
Assist with preparing and reviewing customer and subcontractor quotations, writing subcontractor scopes of work, and coordinating equipment delivery and installation.
Support Testing and Commissioning:
Assist divisional project managers with testing, implementation, system deviations, service start-up, and commissioning activities prior to final acceptance.
Drive Scheduling and Closeout:
Coordinate all project scheduling details, closeout activities, and warranty or service obligations.
Track Progress and Report Status:
Prepare project activity and status reports, participate in project meetings, and keep management, customers, and stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
Review Financials:
Assist with reviewing project-related requests for payment and supporting documentation.
Collaborate Across Divisions:
Work closely with other MEPPI Divisions to support project execution and ensure alignment across teams.
Represent the MEPPI Brand:
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Division through effective, cooperative dealings with customers and internal departments.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
Zero (0) to two (2) years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Basic knowledge of assigned products, including uninterruptible power supply systems, battery systems, IT Cooling, transmission and distribution substation equipment, battery energy storage systems, and solar inverters.
Basic understanding of project management, construction, and commissioning concepts.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and materials.
Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and customers.
Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer proficiency with emphasis on Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.
Combination of office-based work and field time at customer sites.
Interaction with construction environments, subcontractors, and technical teams.
May support multiple projects simultaneously with varying schedules and priorities.
