Electrical Support Specialist II - IT Cooling

MEPPI’s Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist II to provide high-level technical support for assigned products and systems. In this role, you will analyze complex technical issues, support field investigations, develop documentation, manage incident tasks, and collaborate with engineering teams, service providers, and customers to elevate product reliability and customer satisfaction.


What You’ll Do

Deliver System-Level Technical Support: Provide technical support at the system and facility level for SCD products to MEPPI teams, authorized service providers (ASPs), and end users.


Manage Field Incidents: Track assigned field incident tasks through completion and ensure timely resolution.


Support RCA & QA Activities: Assist operating divisions with root cause analyses (RCA), quality assurance issues, and corrective action recommendations.


Analyze Technical Trends: Compile data, conduct analyses, and present findings on failure trends, escalated incidents, and opportunities for design improvements.


Develop Technical Documentation: Create, maintain, and distribute technical updates, troubleshooting guides, and support documents; ensure proper recordkeeping for quality system compliance.


Enhance Support Processes: Collaborate in the development and maintenance of technical support processes and procedures.


Support Remote Monitoring Systems: Provide technical support for remote monitoring software, including documentation updates, database maintenance, version control, vendor issue coordination, and customer assistance.


Act as Technical Liaison: Serve as a technical liaison with MEPPI expatriates and equipment divisions to resolve product issues.


Produce Technical Communications: Prepare letters, memos, emails, reports, and other written communications for internal and external distribution.


Perform Fieldwork & Testing: Conduct and assist with site testing, field troubleshooting, and technical presentations as required.


Support Division Goals: Promote SCD’s mission and professional image through cooperative and timely communication with internal departments, customers, and suppliers.


What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience providing technical and/or field support for products or systems, or equivalent education and experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Intermediate knowledge of assigned products and remote monitoring technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of field acceptance testing, test equipment, data analysis, test reporting, and safety requirements
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, NEC, and IEC

Skills & Attributes:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
  • Ability to support multiple stakeholders and work across cross-functional teams

Technology Proficiency:

  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office, MRP/ERP systems, and technical reporting tools
