Training Manager - Technical Products – Service Center Division

(MEPPI) is seeking a Training Manager Technical Products to lead our technical training team, support Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) and customers, and build training programs that strengthen field service performance and support the strategic goals of our Service Center Division (SCD).
In this role, you will guide a team of technical trainers, ensure training programs meet certification standards, and help develop the next generation of highly skilled service technicians.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Manage and direct training staff in alignment with company policies to achieve divisional and departmental goals.
- Develop employees through training, cross-training, coaching, and ongoing education.
- Participate in hiring, conduct performance reviews, and provide input on salary decisions.
- Foster positive employee relations and promote a professional, supportive team environment.
Training Program Management
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technical trainers to ensure training meets quality, safety, and field service requirements.
- Organize, formalize, and maintain cohesive training programs for MEPPI service technicians, ASP technicians, customer personnel, and sales channel partners.
- Coordinate training schedules in partnership with field service to ensure Personnel Qualification Standards (PQS) for Field Certification are met or exceeded.
- Develop and maintain trainer knowledge through train-the-trainer initiatives, refresher programs, and continuing education.
Curriculum Development & Training Delivery
- Continuously evaluate technical, process, and organizational changes for training impact and update programs accordingly.
- Collect, develop, and organize training materials to ensure relevance, quality, and consistency.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of group training sessions in both classroom and factory settings.
- Provide technical support to ASPs and customer personnel as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain documentation outlining division-wide training requirements, including product-related and job-related onboarding training.
- Work with department managers to identify specific training and refresher needs and coordinate internal or external resources to meet them.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of training records, reporting, and process documentation.
- Represent SCD professionally through effective interaction with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience educating or training technical personnel, or equivalent education and experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, drawings, and specifications.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and group presentation abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Learning Management/Quality Systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A passion for developing people and building high-quality, scalable training programs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time as required.
